Correspondence, contracts and press cuttings of reviews relating to works by Mitsumasa Anno, of which Anno’s faces, first published by Dowaya, Tokyo was published by Reinhardt in 1989, Anno’s Aesop, first published by Iwanani Shoten, Tokyo, was published by Reinhardt in 1990, other works eventually not being published in English. Includes a mock-up of the unpublished Anno’s masks. The originals of most letters to the Japan Foreign-Rights Centre, which dealt with the publication of English editions, and other letters to Japan, are retained, having been sent by fax to Japan. There are no letters to or from Max Reinhardt, the negotiations being handled by his staff.
