(1) Correspondence of the 3rd Lord and Lady Holland with George Gordon Noel, 6th Baron Byron, the poet; 4 Feb 1812 - 12 Mar 1823, n.d. Included are several drafts of the Address written by Byron for the opening of the new Drury Lane Theatre on 10 Oct 1812 and printed in The Genuine Rejected Addresses, presented to the Committee of Management for Drurly Lane Theatre; preceded by that written by Lord Byron and adopted by the Committee (1812), pp.1-3 (ff. 25-27v, 41-43, 46-50, 52-53v, 73-74v, 80-81v, 92-93v, 96-97); also an undtaed verse written by Lord Holland after Byron's death on 19 Apr 1824 (f. 176). The original letters of Lord and Lady Holland in this correspondence were returned from Byron's papers, in Mar 1825, by J. C. Hobhouse (Recollections of a long life, ed. Lady Dorchester, iii, 1910, p.95); ff. 192-194 (see below) were probably included too. Letters in this correspondence have been printed, not always exactly, by R. E.
