Collection of 152 loose prints illustrating the self-mutilation ceremonies of the Rafai Fakirs, a Muslim sect in Hyderabad State. The collection contains multiple copies of 24 different subjects, plus three indistinct snapshots of a fire-walking ceremony (taken at night, hence under-exposed and unsharp). With a few exceptions, the photographs have been printed in three standard images sizes (although with borders of varying dimensions) as follows: 75x100mm, 110x155mm, 235x300mm. Most of this material duplicates photographs to be found in Mss Eur F222/16 and Mss Eur F222/17
