- Title:
- Sir Thomas Higham Collection: Album of panoramic photographs of Murree. Photographer: Sir Thomas Higham (attrib)
- Scope & Content:
-
Green cloth-bound album measuring 170 mm x 395 mm, blind-stamped Kodak Panoramas on front cover, containing 21 panoramic views taken with a Kodak panoramic camera. The photographs are probably Higham's own work, and consist of uncaptioned views, principally of Murree, but also with a number of view of civil engineering work in the Punjab. The last view, a commercially-produced photo-mechanical print rather than an original photograph, shows the camps at the Delhi Durbar of 1911-12.
Biographical note: Sir Thomas Higham (1847-1910), Irrigation Dept, Punjab from 1867, Secretary, Government of India, Public Works Dept 1897-1903.
