Half-leather and cloth-bound album, measuring 377 x 310 mm, with contemporary red leather label laid down on front cover, reading Cashmere and Himala. Bookplate of James Abbott pasted down on front fixed endpaper. The volume contains 42 albumen prints by Samuel Bourne, tipped-in on corner slits, mainly comprising views of Simla, the Wanga and Sind Valleys and of Srinagar. There are an additional 14 loose prints of architecture and scenery in India, England and Canada. The album binding has been repaired and loose prints mounted in polyester sleeves in a separate post-bound folder.
