Correspondence concerning Sampuran Singh Tandon, an ex-student of Forman College and Secretary-Director of the New Insurance and General Agencies Ltd, who was arrested in Sep 1932 on the charge of involvement in the Lahore and Delhi conspiracies. The charges were not pressed but Tandon's movements were for some time restricted to the municipality of Lahore. Datta took up his cause and even after the ban was lifted they continued to have a lively correspondence until Datta's death.
The file contains some critical comment on 'Gandhist ideology' and comments on Nehru, also a memorandum for a new political party in India (1942).
