Red full-leather bound album measuring 315 mm x 405 mm, with title as above stamped in gilt on front cover. Inscribed on endpaper: Presented to Lady H. Younghusband. With [sic for 'from'] Major General Sir Pratap Singh G.C.S.I., Maharajah of Jammu and Cashmere with best compliments. 11th December 1909. Front board loose and scuffed. Prints are mounted on the page with letterpress captions pasted beneath.
The photographs record the visit of the Viceroy Lord Minto and Lady Minto to Kashmir in October 1906, where they were received by Maharaja Pratap Singh. The prints show the various stages in their journey, hunting scenes and formal events, at Baramula, Srinagar, the Dachigam Valley, Sangham, Achibal, Martand, Mahura, Punch, Kahuta, Alliabad and Uri.
