Scope & Content:

This file contains 2,531 digital copies of galss plate negatives depicting the Enisei region of Siberia, indigenous peoples and cultures. The images date from the early 20th century, and depic the following ethnic groups: Dolgani, Iuraki, Khakas, Tuvinets, Russians, Keto, Sel'kup, Samoed, Evenki, Nganasan, Iakuti, Tungus, and Ostiak.

The following geographic areas are documented in the collection: Enisei, Enisei Zaliv, Krasnoiarsk, Taiga, Tundra, Dudinka, Esei, Angara R.
