- Press cuttings relating to bomb attacks, poisoning, social justice and petty thefy at the work place. Also included is a flyer from St Mary's Church, Prebend Street.
- Double entry book keeping by Fra Luca Pacioli, translated by Pietro Crivelli, published by The Institute of Book-Keepers in Weston-Super-Mare, 1966 edition, first published 1924. Johnson quoted heavily from this text in his novel. Sections are marked and annotated in this copy.
- The Danish Resistance by David Lampe, published in New York by Ballantine Books 1960, first published as The Savage Canary by Cassell & Company Ltd., in London, 1957. This copy is annotated and marked by Johnson. [NB. Also see Add MS 89001/3/1/9 for Johnson's adaptation of this book.]
