ff. 186v-187v: Ownership inscriptions, some erased (ff. 187r-v).
Decoration:
12 small calendar miniatures, in colours and gold (ff. 2r-7v). 10 large historiated initials, accompanied by three-sided borders with grotesque and figural bas-de-page scenes, in colours and gold (ff. 8r, 27r, 41r, 53v, 54r, 68r, 85r, 10r0, 102r, 114r). Large and smaller initials in gold on red and blue grounds, developing three-sided bars. 12 KL initials in gold on blue and red grounds. Small initials (1 line) in gold with blue pen-flourishing or in blue with red pen-flourishing. Line-fillers decorated in gold, red and blue.

Provenance:
The colophon (f. 185v) is nearly illegible but partly transcribed in a note by F. Madden, 1890 (inserted paper leaf after f. 186).
Contemporary added inscriptions of obits in the calendar: 'Obit Ysabel dame' (3 January, f. 2r), and 'Blanche domine de …[erased] m cc iiiixx xio' (2 March, f. 3r).
Added prayer, 15th century, with feminine pronouns '...me peccatrice…' (f. 1r).
Inscription, 1511(?): 'Pour dame marie dorgemot religieuse de maubuisson(?)...' on the occasion of her first vesture, Sunday, 17 May, in 1511; May 17, however, fell on a Saturday (f. 186v).
Henry Yates Thompson (b. 1838, d. 1928), collector of illuminated manuscripts and newspaper proprietor.
Bequeathed to the British Museum in 1941 by Mrs Henry Yates Thompson.
