Some of the topics covered are: several decisions on budgets and accounts, salaries and allowances of government personnel etc.; decree regarding the merchant navy; decisions relating to education (rules for the College Dupleix in Chandernagor, examinations, degrees, subsidies for private schools etc.); authorisation for the publication of some local journals, including a “Journal Judiciaire” containing judgments pronounced by the local courts; decree on the financial system of the colonies; orders relating to public works; residency ban orders for those charged with theft; decisions of the Council of Administrative Litigation; decisions on postal services and taxes; competitions for government jobs, recruitments, nominations etc.; preparation of a cadastre of Karikal; elections for vacant posts in elected councils; approvals for the formation of associations; orders relating to the water subscription service in Chandernagor and the distribution of irrigation waters in Yanaon; taxes on land, houses, businesses etc.

- Issues within the volume are arranged chronologically and by issue number. They were published every Tuesday. A table of contents is provided at the beginning of every issue. The volume contains chronological, subject and name indices. The Chronological Index lists all the orders chronologically and gives their dates and page numbers. The Subject index is an alphabetical list of subject terms and gives the orders that pertain to that subject along with their dates and page numbers. The Name Index includes only the names of people that figure in the nominations, promotions, transfers etc. It is arranged alphabetically and gives the page number where the names are mentioned. The three indices are bound at the end of the volume. Pages 401-404, in inverse order, are wrongly bound between pages 800 and 801. Issue 1 ends on page 24 and issue 2 starts on page 21 instead of page 25.
