Both memos detailed the history of the acquisition of the Annesley site after negotiations to secure a site in Milton Keynes broke down. The reasons for choosing Annesley are given. The site freehold of 567.565 acres was bought for £948,175 and was completed on 15 June 1977. Negotiations in 1974. The government Industrial Development Certificate was crucial in the transaction.
