Anonymous notes on the medical properties of foods drawn from various medical books (من بعض كتب الطب).
The manuscript was copied in 1838, in Cairo, by the scribe Ayyūb of Nazareth (see colophon to item four, f. 330, lines 9-13).

الحلو حار إلا أنه ليس يقوى الحرارة ولا يظهر من ه إسخان قوي إلى أنه يدمن والإدمان له يكثر
الصفراء والدم وتهيج الأمراض الكائنة منهما ويولد السدد والورم في الكبد والطحال لا سيما إن كانت
مستعدة لذلك ويطلق البطن ويرخى المعدة صالح للصدر والرئة مخصب للبدن مكثر للمنى
وأما الحامض فإنه بارد لكنه ليس يقوى البرد يقمع الصفراء والدم ويعقل البطن ...

في الدم والمنى ويضر لمن يعتريه الصداع والقولنج والأمراض الباردة السمن يرخى المعدة
وتهيج من إدمانه الأمراض البلغمية.
