A collection of extracts from Avicenna's (ابن سينا, Ibn Sīnā; 980-1037) Canon of Medicine (القانون في الطب).
The manuscript was copied in 1838, in Cairo, by the scribe Ayyūb of Nazareth (see colophon, f. 330, lines 9-13, transcribed below).
Begins (f. 327v, lines 2-5):
مرهم نافع للخنازير جيد يحلل الصلب في أسبوع وما هو دونه في ثلاثة أيام وصفه
جالينوس في قلطاجانس ونسخته يؤخذ من خردل وبزر الأنجرة وكبريت وزبد
البحر وزرواند ومقل وأشق وزيت عتيق وشمع وقد جرب بول الجمل الأعرابي
والمعقد منه ضمادًا أو مرهمًا ومخلوطًا به أدوية الخنزيرية فكان نافعًا ...
Ends (f. 330r, lines 4-8):
... ثم يؤخذ من المشكطرا مشيع
وفطراساليون والحجر اليهودي وبزر الكرفس والمر والكندر والزعفران
والفلفل الأبيض من كل واحد سدس جزء ويؤخذ من عظام العاج ثلث جزء فتسحق
جميع هذه الأدوية ويطرح عليها كلس الأحجار المذكورة ويعجن بعسل البليلج ضعفها
وزنًا ويقرص من مثقال ويسقي.

وكان الفراغ من نساخة هذا الكتاب في يوم الخامس والعشرين
من شهر نيسان سنة ألف وثمانمائة وثمان وثلاثين
