The Libro de Escrituras y Ventas contains information on sales of slaves, manumission cases, court procedures, wills, suits and claims, records of commercial activity and sales of different types of property including real state and chattel. The documents were originally created from 1810 to 1814 in Chocó, Colombia (Nueva Granada).
Physical condition of original material: The final pages of the documents are in an advanced state of deterioration. Some of the material could be hard to read due to the condition of the original document.
