Bound volume of manuscript letterbook and journal of Lieutenant John Clarkson, R.N. Governor of Sierra Leone, 1792.
Original material: 1 bound volume, 1791-1792. The paper is brittle with most of the edges breaking off. The paper is very acidic and there is some mould and mildew damage. There is extensive iron gall from the ink which has eaten through the pages and obscures some of the verso pages. The binding on the volume is broken.
