- Description: This handmade envelope contains four stationary envelopes plus loose material. The documents are newspapers' and magazines' clippings and articles, photos, engravings, and one booklet, among other documents. San Isidro is an administrative area and a city north to Buenos Aires. During the 16th century, it was mainly inhabited by the indigenous ethnic groups of the guaranties and the querandíes. When the Spaniards arrived in 1580, its lands were distributed among them and in the early 18th century the small church became a big temple after San Isidro el Labrador—the patron saint of rural peons and crop growing. Around this temple, the city started to grow and by the 19th century, it was a relevant port. This envelope also shows its popularity as a beach on the River Plate.
