- Description: Alejandro Bunge (1880 - 1943) was one of the most significant Argentine economists who taught at the University of Buenos Aires, founded the magazine Revista de Economía Argentina, and was a permanent member of the Statistics Department. He studied engineer in Germany and belonged to the rich family and successful cereal enterprise Bunge & Borne, still in existence. He had as students selected figures in Argentine economy such as Federico Pinedo and Raul Prebisch. See, Altamirano, Carlos, Intelectuales. Notas de investigación, (Buenos Aires: Editorial Norma, 2006). This handmade envelope contains three envelopes with photos, engravings, magazines’ and newspapers’ clippings and articles, drawings, and speeches that were given during Alejandro Bunge's funeral.
