- Description: This envelope contains newspapers’ and magazines’ articles and clippings, plus photographs refer to the National School of Arts. It was the oldest Drawing School founded by the Argentine heroe of the war of Independence, Manuel Belgrano in 1799. In 1916, it was re-created by decree the Escuela Nacional de Artes y Oficios (Arts and Trades National School) in Buenos Aires. In 1930, it changes its name to National School of Art (Escuela Nacional de Artes) until in 1936 it received the name of Manuel Belgrano. This envelope informs us about these changes. The school was both for men and women in the 1930s teaching them sculpture, drawing, and painting. Extent of original: Envelope. Condition of original: Handmade envelope in poor condition..
