- Scope & Content:
- Description: Arsamasseva was a writer and poet born in Kursk, Russia, studied in Moscow, and lived in different places until she chose to establish herself in Buenos Aires. She learned to master the Spanish language and wrote many novels such as Cicatriz (1933), Alejandra (1936), El nieto, and Tiempo Turbio. The critics praised her as representative of the Slavic novels. The famous Argentine writer Roberto Arlt, who worked for the newspaper El Mundo, wrote about her as “ugly, expressive and musical.” This was published in an article included in this envelope that is not handmade but a company's envelope. It contains photographs, newspapers’ and magazines’ articles and clippings, and one page with her original signature. Extent of original: Envelope. Condition of original: Poor condition because of humidity.
