- Description: Ibicuy is a port in the province of Entre Ríos, Argentina, on the southern coast of the Paraná River. It was an important location for the indigenous people (mostly from the Güaraní nation) and the Spaniards on their way up to Asunción (now, capital city of Paraguay). In the 18th century it was turned into an estancia (or land state) by the English Juan Carlos Wright, and it continued to be so when owned by the British Diego Wirither Britain and, later on, by General Justo José de Urquiza who defeated Juan Manuel de Rosas in 1852. In 1909, Ibibcuy became a crucial port when it was connected to the then British Entre Ríos Railways. Extent of original: Handmade envelope . Condition of original: Regular to bad condition.
