An anonymous compendium of questions and answers concerning metaphysics (علم الأصول, lit. ‘the science of principles’). The text, as preserved here, is divided into four chapters (أبواب):
- الباب الأول في المباحث المتعلقة بالعلم والنظر (‘Chapter 1: Studies related to knowledge and theory’; ff. 82v-85v);
- الباب الثاني في أحكام المعلومات (‘Chapter 2: The accuracy of facts’; ff. 85v-91v);
- الباب ج في بيان العلم بالصانع (‘Chapter 3: Explaining knowledge by means of the Maker’; ff. 91v-100r);
- الباب د في صفة القدرة والعلم وغيرهما (‘Chapter 4: Descriptions of ability, knowledge and others’; ff. 100r-104r, defective at end).

See note on f. 28r of one Aḥmad ibn Muḥammad ibn Khalīl (?) ibn al-Ḥaṣūn (?) who inspected and copied the texts on ff. 28v-104r and 109r-174r on 17 Jumādá II 829/26 April 1426.
Front paper i verso contains an anonymous bookplate with motto ‘NULLIUS IN VERBA’.
Folio 4r contains stamp inscribed ‘Soc. Reg. Lond. ex dono Henr. Howard Norfolciensis’.
