Letters from Alec Guinness to Merula Guinness 1938-1940 , ten letters written from Buxton, England and includes brown envelope in which letters were kept, with note saying ‘Aug-Sept 1938 from Buxton’ during the run of Trelawny of the Wells. One letter from John Gieguld to Alec enclosed with letter dated circa 24 August 1938. Seventeen letters dated 1940 from Edinburgh, Glasgow, Newcastle and Cambridge, written during the tour of Thunder Rock by Robert Ardrey in which Alec Guinness played Charleston. Four brown envelopes.
