- This manuscript contains the Minangkabau law which explains about orang alim (religious scholar), orang berguru (the custom of being a tarekat student), orang pandai obat (therapist), hukum akal (the law of logic and reasoning), and hukum adat (custom law). It was used as the resources in Islamic, adat (custom), and tarekat teaching and learning, especially in Surau Pariangan. The custom law (hukum adat) has been studied since the early 19 century in Minangkabau suraus.
