- MS NO. 23 175f. Hymnal (Arganon) The bookblock- the parchment folios are very deformed and dirty evenly on all surface. Additionally, there is a large brownish water-stain on the lower margin visible (running from 1 to 76 ff). The parchment in this areas is very brittle, hard and wavy. The sewing thread is broken between 1 and 2 quires. A glass-like layer, as an effect of gelatinization process of the parchment, can also be observed. The binding- repaired by adding new leather on the spine. The original leather on the boards is dirty, partly unstuck , creased, very fragile on the edges. There are large losses on the lower part of the front cover and smaller one in the upper corner of the back cover. The grain layer of the original leather is partly worn away.
