32 autograph letters and 2 cards from Mary Doyle to her son Arthur Conan Doyle. 1 letter has part missing. The letters include notes made by Mary Doyle on Arthur's Boer War pamphlet and a letter in which she tells Arthur off for volunteering during the Boer War.
Also includes copied extracts from Mary Doyle’s letters to Arthur. Possibly copied by Adrian Conan Doyle. Including:
• Copy of ‘Memories of Long Ago’ by Mary Doyle, autograph, 7 pages.
• Autograph copies of Mary Doyle’s letters to Arthur Conan Doyle dated 12th March 1906, 17th Mar 1909, 23 Nov 1912, 31 Jan 1906, 21 May 1894, 13 Sept 1899 and n.d.
