- Scope & Content:
- Bartholomaeus, son of Menas and Eudoxia, provides surety for Bartholomaeus son of Sountoous and Iulitata, whose profession is unclear, on condition that he lives in his settlement with his family with good conduct. If he is sought, Bartholomaeus son of Menas will bring him forward or else will pay eight gold solidi. The name of the addressee is unknown, but it may be one of the Apiones, or Flavia Anastasia; with endorsement on the back.

Medium-brown papyrus sheet, broken off at the top and bottom; with insect-holes in places; bearing writing on both sides. On the front, there are 27 lines written along the fibres; of the first 3, only a few traces remain. A sheet-join runs vertically at c. 15-18 mm from the right edge. On the back, there are 2 lines running along the fibres. The papyrus is housed in a glass frame.
