- Description: Alexandria Srpska - one of the later versions of the Greek novel about Alexander the Great by Pseudo-Callisthenes. This novel appeared in Russia in the XV century as translation from the Serbian language. The Russian scribes edited and added the text of «Alexandria». As a result, the novel was transformed into a medieval Christian composition about extraordinary events which connected with didactic and eschatological motives. This book is the 17th century edition, copied in the early 18th century.. Extent and format of original material: One bound volume containing 219 folios, 155 mm x 205 mm. Condition of book – satisfactory. Binding: boards covered with leather, two buckles lost.
