- Description: This is a list of 4908 Africans liberated from slave ships by the British Royal Navy in 1827. Extent of original material: 1 volume of 436 folios. Physical characteristics of original: The volume has been rebound in cloth on boards and stamped in gold. It is spine bound in green leather. There is extensive iron gall damage. The pages are stuck together throughout and require separation. There is extensive foxing of the paper.
