Correspondence between members of the Trollope and Tilley families including Anthony Trollope, Frances Trollope, Cecilia Tilley (née Trollope), John Tilley, Mary Anne Partington (later Tilley) and others. Includes Anthony Trollope's original letter of appointment to the Post Office, autograph writings of Mary Anne Partington and a letter from Frances Trollope to her daughter about Anthony Trollope's first novel, The Macdermots of Ballycloran. Many of the letters relate to Cecilia Tilley's ill health and her death from consumption (Tuberculosis) in 1849.
Several of the letters are incomplete and a large number are undated. Transcriptions of the seven letters which were previously part of Loan MS 109 are also included.
