- English Illumination: The Douai Psalter. 82 photographs taken in 1979 of the damaged fragments surviving from the Douai Psalter, written and illuminated in England (East Anglia) in the early 14th century. The manuscript was ruined by damp while buried for safety during the First World War and has usually been regarded by scholars as lost beyond recall. For the manuscript on temporary deposit at the Bibliothèque Nationale, Paris, see L F Sandler, Survey of Manuscripts Illuminated in the British Isles, vol.V, Gothic Manuscripts from 1285. Purchased, August 1981.
