- (2). Liverpool, 20 January [1983]. Autograph letter (1 sheet), with envelope. Letter in reply to Harwood's 'astute criticism of the rhyming rag-bag'. Evans refers to his current interest in rhyme as his 'second poetic apprenticeship'.

The (rhymed) poem begins: 'When the clouds lifted, not long before night'. Evans comments: 'Here's the latest bit of the monster I've spawned: it's really pissing me off, the last few weeks. I hate poetry!'
