[The following note about this file was kindly provided by a researcher. We have left the original surname spelling provided so that both spellings can be found: Charles Desbonnes was born in Saint-François, Guadeloupe, in about 1724, as he was baptized there on 12 April 1724. He came to Carriacou with two of his brothers-in-law, Pierre Sellier and Honore Sellier (both of whom were brothers who had married Desbonnes sisters). They are all listed in the Capitation Tax Roll for 1763 for Carriacou.]
