'3 more BEZOARS went off in the boatmail recently, & Fred [Buck] just printed up that selection from Elaine Randell's social work journal. Also got some mss from Chris Torrance, which I have yet to see (still at Gloucester). I have not gotten his books yet.' On the verso of the letter, a typed poem ('That first reminder of coolness') dated 19 August 1977.

'We haven't printed anything since late August, nor mailed the past 3 issues [of Bezoar] to European readers due to lack of funds [....] Fred hopes to do an issue of the stuff you sent him & some new work by Ken Irby next.'
