- Manuscript containing all governmental decrees, orders and regulations issued by the General Governor of the State of Grão Pará, João Pereira Caldas between 16 March 1775 and 06 November 1776. Bits and pieces were to be put at the service of St. Bôa Ventura’s chapel (list attached: images of Christ, of Our Lady of Immaculate Conception, of various saints, and other religious objects and Catholic canonicals); Document 211 (1775) The Governor orders the Intendant of the Royal Warehouses deliver surgical instruments and supplies (list attached) to Silvestre Ribeiro Sarmento, surgeon-major (cirurgião-mór) of the Infantry Regiment of Belém; Document 218 (1775) Governor orders the payment of indemnification to owners of the houses that will be demolished around the Government Palace (nominal list with corresponding amounts attached); Document 245 (1775) Governor orders the Intendant of the Royal Warehouses deliver tools and food to the twenty-five heads of family who are going to the Vila Nova de Mazagão (list with names of the whites and number of slaves attached). He also orders that the transportation of these families to the said village shall occur until 10 October 1775; Document 282 (1776) Governor orders the Intendant of the Royal Warehouses send food, drugs, and surgical instruments to the Hospital of Macapá (list attached); Document 291 (1776) Governor orders the Intendant of the the Royal Warehouses send food, tools, wine and brandy of the country (“aguardente da terra”) to the residents of the Vila Nova de Mazagão (list attached); Document 368 (1776) List of the amounts to be sent to the Captaincy of Rio Negro for the payment of the manufacture of military gear for its Infantry Regiment (list and corresponding amounts attached: shoes, soles, pants, chaps, uniforms); Document 383 (1776) Governor orders the Intendant of the Royal Warehouses send to the commander of the town of Borba, Captaincy of Rio Negro, gunpowder (coarse and fine) to be sent away to the Captaincy of Mato Grosso. “Twelve ‘arrobas’ of coarse gunpowder, and twelve ‘arrobas’ of the fine, in twelve barrels, of two ‘arrobas’ each one.”; Document 422 (1776) Governor orders the Intendant of the Royal Warehouses deliver to Antonio de Oliveira Pantoja, commander of the first warship of the Coast Guard in the North Channel of the Amazonas river mouth, all weapons, ammunition, tools, and other fitting equipment contained in the relation included; Document 432 (1776) Governor orders the Intendant of the Royal Warehouses deliver two shirts and two pants to each one of the eleven Spanish prisoners included in the list below; Document 510 (1776) Governor orders the Intendant of the Royal Warehouses send medicines to the commander of Vila Vistosa for the healing of the sick (list of drugs); Document 540 (1776) Governor orders the Intendant of the Royal Warehouses deliver six boxes of ammunition to colonel Theodosio Constantino Charmont (follows description of munitions and boxes).
