- Description: Alfredo Lorenzo Palacios (1880 - 1965) was the first socialist politician to be elected as Deputy in the Congress in Argentina and in Latin American. He confronted the politics of the Infamous Decade (1930-43) and managed to pass many laws to defend the workers, women, and children. In 1932, he was elected Senator until the military coup of 1943. He died in his 80s. Extent and format of original material: This Nepaco folder contains newsapapers' and magazines' clippings.
