Beginning a numbered chronological sequence of fair copy poems (and other occasional texts) retained in springback binders. Some poems are dated, and details of publication are recorded by Harwood where applicable. Occasionally a poem has been typed twice (retaining the same number).
Written on the inside front cover: 'Lee Harwood. Poems nos. 1-103. Jan./Feb. 1963 - 4 June '65.'
In addition, the following material is loosely inserted:
- Inserted inside front cover: 'Happypoems by Lee Harwood'. Privately produced by the author in a limited edition of 5 copies, January 1964. Copy no. 2. Bound by two central wire staples. Comprises the following poems: 'poem for a girl'; 'rain falling...'; '4 Haiku for March 1961'; 'train ride'; 'rain on the city...'; 'you again'; 'purple rain'; 'january 1963'; 'I'm free now'; 'to my wife'; 'Extracts'; 'I lie in...'; and 'poem for jenny'.
