- Title:
- Paul Baggaley, publisher at Picador publishers: correspondence - Wish You Were Here (2012)
- Scope & Content:
-
17 separate printed email messages and conversation threads, principally concerning cover design and the Booker Prize longlist for 2011 (on which Wish You Were Here was not included).
Making an Elephant as well as several earlier titles including The Sweet Shop Owner, Waterland and The Light of Day are also referenced throughout in passing, and used as examples of good editions which they might echo with the publicising of Wish You Were Here. Making an Elephant is referenced by Swift directly when he expresses the idea that it might be 'a companion book to my fiction' (email dated 13 July 2010).
File retains original file cover sheet in Swift's hand.
