- Title:
- Correspondence: publication - The Light of Day (2003)
- Scope & Content:
-
File contains:
- Correspondence between Swift and Simon Prosser, publisher at Hamish Hamilton of Penguin Books, over the period 2002 - 2006. Discussion chiefly concerns the difficulties of hardback and paperback publication of the novel due to a major warehouse breakdown and related distribution failure. Correspondence becomes infrequent between 2003 and 2006.
- Correspondence between Kate Harvey of Picador Macmillan publishers and Swift concerning the publishing of The Light of Day on 3 June 2011, after it was acquired from Penguin publishers by Picador. The planned publication by Picador was to coincide with the publication of Wish You Were Here.
File retains original file cover sheets in Swift's hand.
