France:

  • Conference in Nice, November 2010. File contains Swift's notes for the talk he was to give.
  • Corsica, 1987, with correspondence dated 2008 regarding a festival in Brussels by the same organisers. Contains 3 photographs.
  • Sorbonne Conference, March 2007. Correspondence containing schedule.

Germany:

  • Tour in March 1997. Tour included Vienna.
  • Tour in November 2003

Spain:

  • Madrid Book Fair 2004.

Belgium:

  • Visit to Brussels in May 1998.

Denmark:

  • Visits to Copenhagen in 1992 and 1996.

Holland:

  • Visit to Rotterdam in 1998. Also relates to television interview given by Swift to Michael Zeeman.
  • Visits to Holland for publications by De Bezige Bij, Amsterdam of the following texts: Ever After (visit in 1992); The Light of Day (visit in 2002); Tomorrow (visit in 2007); Wish You Were Here (visit in 2011).

Austria:

  • Visit to Vienna in 1984.

Sweden:

  • Visit to Stockholm for Swedish publication of Waterland in 1985.
  • Cutting containing interview given by Swift for Swedish Femina magazine in May 1993.

Poland:

  • Copy of Polish magazine Brytania for Polish students of English containing interview with Swift around the publication of Out of this World in 1988.

Finland:

  • Lahti Writers' Reunion midsummer party in 1987 - photographs and a card.

Singapore:

  • British Council Singapore Seminar, 2 to 25 November 1995.
  • Poster printed by Pansing, Pan publishers in Singapore, advertising a promotional visit Swift made to Singapore in 1989.

South Africa:

  • 'Miscellaneous' papers relating to visit to Johannesberg and Cape Town in May 1997. Includes 2 photographs taken by Swift of Table Mountain.

Hungary:

  • Visit to Budapest in April 1994.

Australia:

  • Writer's Week at Adelaide Festival, and Swift's subsequent Australian tour in 1986. Contains photographs of Swift in various locations.

India:

  • Visit to the British Council in Jaipur, New Delhi, in 1995.

Russia:

  • 'Miscellaneous' material relating to visits to Moscow and St Petersberg during June to July 2006.
