Two sets of material, originally housed in two separate buff envelopes, relating to two performances of War God II:
- 1. 14 March 1987, St. John's Smith Square. The Locke Brass Consort. Soprano: Miriam Bowen. Electronics: David Hewson. Narrator: Richard Arnell. The materials include the concert programme with a photograph (b/w) of Miriam Bowen together with an accompanying letter from her. In addition, various notes and some sketch material by Arnell relating to the performance (some of which is written on the versos of unrelated papers), and related correspondence including (ff. 69-69) two autograph letters (1986) from Stephen Spender on whose poem 'The War God' (photocopy text included) the score is based. Original storage envelope front retained.
- 2. 10 February 1991. Harlow Sportcentre, Essex. The Harlow Chorus. Soprano: Olivia Blackburn. Electronics: David Hewson, Narrator: Richard Arnell. The materials include the concert programme with a photograph (b/w) of Olivia Blackburn. In addition, related correspondence and rough notes. Original storage envelope front retained.
