Wilberforce-Bell Collection: 'Own photographs 1933-[51] '

Half leather bound album measuring 255 x 300 mm with protective stitched cloth cover and bookplate of Harold Wilberforce-Bell in inside front cover. Prints are mounted on album pages with identifications in Wilberforce-Bell's hand. The album contains Wilberforce-Bell's own photographs, many of which cover events documented by better quality prints in other albums in the collection. A significant proportion of the contents is of English scenes, particularly in and around the family home of Portington Hall, Yorkshire in the period 1936-51. Indian material includes scenes at Kolhapur and Janjira (1933), the Residency, Lahore (1934-5, 1938-9), Dalhousie (1935) and Simla (1937).
