Full leather bound album in green and black, measuring 252x300mm, with title as above stamped in gold within decorative border. Prints mounted on page with letterpress captions pasted beneath. Tissue interleaving between pages. Inscribed on front free endpaper: 'With most respectable [sic] and sincere wishes for the new year 1923 from M Scindia'. Photographer's label pasted inside front and back covers. The album records a short visit to Gwalior made by the Viceroy Lord Reading in November 1922, and includes group portraits, durbar scenes, military reviews, tiger hunting scenes, etc. Photography is, apart from a few larger format views, snapshot work of indifferent quality.
