Reading Collection: Miscellaneous loose photographs.

Scope & Content:

Miscellaneous loose photographs from the Marquess of Reading's collection, mainly dating from his period as Viceroy from 1921-36, but including some material relating to India from outside this period. The collection breaks down into the following broad categories: architectural studies of Viceregal Lodge, Simla (prints 1-17), miscellaneous photographs relating to formal and social events in India (prints 18-42), the London Round Table Conference 1930-31 (prints 43-6), mounted photographs of formal groups (47-54).
