The Uhl River or Mendi Hydro-Electric Scheme, 1925–33. Photographer(s): Rodi and Sons
- Scope & Content:
-
Black post-bound album, measuring 290 x 395 mm, containing mounted prints interleaved with tissue. Typed captions are attached to the tissue opposite the relevant prints. The string binding the album pages together has unravelled and the pages and tissue are therefore loose. A typed label on the inside front cover reads: 'Punjab Public Works Department, Hydro Electric Branch. The Uhl River or Mendi Hydro-Electric Scheme, 1925–1933. The sequence of these photographs is roughly from the source of the water power in the mountains to the area of distribution in the plains. In other words, looking at the serial perspective in the pocket of the printed 'Brief Description' the direction is from left to right'.
