The title is stamped in gold on the front cover and reads: 'February 17th 1938. His Excellency Sir Maurice Garnier Hallett, KCSI, CIE, ICS, and Lady Hallett's visit to Raj Darbhanga on the occasion of the Investiture of Raja Vishweshwar Singh Bahadur with the 'Khilat' of 'Raja Bahadur' the guests of Maharajadhiraja'. On the front free endpaper is the dedication: 'To Sir Maurice & Lady Hallett, with all good wishes from their friend, Rameshwar Singh[?], March 1938'.
