Black buckram photograph album measuring 270x400mm, with engraved silver plaque stapled to front cover with inscription reading: 'H.E. Sir Maurice Garnier Hallett, G.C.I.E., K.C.S.I., I.C.S. Governor of the United Provinces of Agra & Oudh, from Raja Indrajit Pratap Bahadur Sahi, C.I.E., Tamkohi Raj, Gorakhpur. 1945. M.L. Vishwakarma, Photo Artist, Allahabad.' Prints are mounted one to a page, with letterpress captions beneath each photograph. The album records two visits to the Tamkuhi Raj by Sir Maurice Hallett, the first in July 1945 to lay the foundation stone of the Fateh Memorial College, Tamkuhi, the second to see the Buddhist remains at Kusinagara in November 1945.
