Fabric-covered post-bound album, 230x324mm, secured with a leather strap and buckle. The album contains mounted prints with letterpress captions and the title is handwritten on a white label attached to the front cover. The front free endpaper carries the following dedication: 'Respectfully presented to His Excellency the Governor of Bihar, Sir Maurice Hallett, KCSI, CIE, ICS, in remembrance of his visit to Messrs Tata's New Coke Ovens on 15-7-39, by Simon Carves Limited, Jamshedpur [and] Stockport, July 1939'.
