Photograph album measuring 250x340mm, containing uncaptioned prints loosely inserted with corner mounts. A letterpress label pasted to the inside front cover reads: 'Presented to His Excellency Sir Maurice & Lady Hallett in remembrance of their very kind visit to Quila House from Radha Krishna Jalan'. The Hon. Rai Bahadur Radhakrishna Jalan is listed as proprietor of the Patna Law Press in the 1930s and 1940s editions of Thacker's almanacs. The album contains interior and exterior views of the house (which contains an extensive collection of paintings and other art objects), and records the arrival of Sir Maurice Hallett's party, their tour of the house and a luncheon (or tea) party on the terrace.
