Scope & Content:

Half-leather bound green album measuring 384x282mm, with bookplate of Clive Bayley. The contents can be broken down into the following broad categories:

Prints 1-31 Architectural subjects at Agra, Fatehpur Sikri, Delhi, Sarnath, Elephanta, Ellora and Ajanta, the majority by Saché, 1860s. With index page of identifications at front of volume.

Prints 32-66 Architectural views at Bhubaneshvar, Udayagiri and Khandagiri, with letterpress index to prints. Photographer unknown, (?)1880s.

Print 67 View of the Madan Mahal at Jabalpur, by Saché and Murray, 1870s.

Prints 68-87 Photographs of unidentified sculpture pieces and fragments, the majority Gandharan. Photographer unknown, 1880s-90s.

Prints 88-94 Views in Kashmir, photographed by Miss Stanton, 1888.
